Distressed Areas in Oregon

Business Oregon gives priority when funding technical assistance, programs and projects to geographic areas determined to be economically distressed as prescribed by Oregon law.

Below is a list of identified distressed areas in Oregon. The temporary methodology is currently in use. The distressed areas list will be updated monthly until Oregon's current unemployment rate falls below eight percent, at which point, the regular distressed methodology will be used in December of the same year. All counties, cities and places will maintain their temporary distressed status until the distressed communities list is published that December.
