Workforce training
Oregon helps businesses address their workforce needs with affordable initiatives that improve worker skills and enhance businesses' ability to compete.
  • Oregon's Employer Workforce Training Fund provides funding assistance for workforce training.
  • Businesses that have been located in Oregon for at least 120 days may be eligible for additional funding assistance to increase the skills of their workforce.

Customized workforce training
Community colleges respond regularly to requests from business and industry for specialized training. The colleges contract directly with firms, and training programs take place either on campus or at the business site. In addition, consulting services, workshops and assistance with business plans are provided through Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs), often located on or near a community college.
