International access

Oregon is a global market. The success of people and firms in Oregon's diverse communities now depends on their availability to deliver value in a fast-changing, worldwide marketplace. Our international trade team helps identify prospects for Oregon products in key international markets and helps Oregon companies capitalize on these opportunities.

The Port of Portland is the state's largest port providing businesses with air, marine and rail services. Nonstop air cargo flights from Portland to Asia are available, as well as nonstop passenger flights to Frankfurt, Germany, Tokyo, Japan and Guadalajara, Mexico. With the Northwest's only river-grade access to the U.S. interior via BNSF Railway and Union Pacific Railroad, Portland boasts more daily intermodal departures to domestic locations than any other point in the Pacific Northwest. The port also boasts an uncongested, deep-draft container port.

We also provide trade opportunities for Oregon firms through the state of Oregon's representatives overseas. Our overseas representatives help Oregon companies by combining their market knowledge of Oregon products, companies and culture with years of home-grown private sector experience.
