Incubators & Accelerators

Business incubators and accelerators take a variety of forms and provide different types and levels of support, but they can be great places to help an entrepreneur establish and grow an emerging business.

Incubators often provide support resources and services to a business just getting off the ground including coaching, shared services and facilities, free or subsidized space and networking opportunities.

Accelerators often focus on supporting the rapid growth of early-stage businesses often through capital, coaching, networking and other support.

Some incubators or accelerators focus on specific industry sectors (e.g., biotech), while others may have a regional or institutional focus. Whatever the model, the support provided by incubators and accelerators can be critical to helping entrepreneurs clear the many obstacles to realizing the potential of their businesses.
