The Oregon Business Development Fund is a revolving loan fund that provides long-term fixed-rate financing for land, buildings, equipment, machinery and permanent working capital.
The fund emphasizes rural and distressed areas, and businesses with fewer than 100 employees. Participants must create or retain jobs and must be a traded-sector business in manufacturing, processing or a regionally significant tourist facility. The fund features a Targeted Development Account for distressed areas of Oregon.
Business Oregon provided a loan of $500,000 through the Oregon Business Development Fund (OBDF) to Snack Alliance, Inc., which enabled the company to expand its Hermiston facility retaining an estimated 76 jobs and creating an additional 30 positions.
Oregon workers' compensation rates have declined or remained neutral for the last 18 years, a national record.
